Sabbat Symbol Welcome to the Sabbat Game.

Brothers and sisters of the Sword of Caine

For too long this island has been left to the Camarilla, thought too close to the Elders of Europe and too firmly under the ruler ship of the Ventrue to take. A tempting target; one that has been raided on more than one occasion but always without proper direction and on too small a scale to trouble the entrenched kindred. This shall be the way of things no more.

I call on you, from abroad or from the corners of this land to come. Whether you come from the success of our great Jyhad in the New World, or if you still lick your wounds from the crushing defeat suffered in Liverpool, your reasons for coming do not matter, be they loyalty, free-will, a love of danger or the need for revenge. It matters not why you come, only that you come when called.

Whilst some of you have remained since our lowest point, harassing our enemy in the many cities of England, now we must rejoin as one. Let us not forget that in Liverpool, ten years ago, we were divided even before we fell. Split into many forces, each under their own Bishop and barely aware of each other, the Camarilla defeated us all too easily. It was to be a small matter to sweep aside the Anarchs, gain what recruits we could and move inland. We were slaughtered. The information that the Anarchs were at war with the Camarilla was just as false as our faith in the leader that day, Cardinal Mendosa. The Regent refuses to permit another Cardinal to be named for this island. The Loyalists among you may rejoice, but the rest of you should see this for the insult that was intended. Until we are proven again, none may call themselves True Sabbat. Until we are victorious, all of us have failed.

I call on you to place named Stoke-on-Trent, a city only by modern standards. This place is chosen for good reason, for its Tremere Prince and his kindred assisted in our defeat at Liverpool. This great Elder of the Camarilla is now dead, by Sabbat hand, and his city is in turmoil and ready for you to take. I would not insult you by giving you a broken city, for it is still held in the Camarilla's name by five powerful Elders. Each holds Domain over one of the historical towns that joined to make this city, separated and yet entwined into a festering mass. This city is important for strategic reasons, for it has many road and rail routes passing through it or near by. It stands in the centre of England, alone and surrounded by a wilderness that is occupied by Lupines. If you take Stoke-on-Trent, no help will be forthcoming. The other clans will not come rushing to save a Tremere city. It pains me that this is all I can offer you, but soon we will take every city we can find. For the moment content yourself with this place; celebrate for its kindred are divided and from our own past we have learnt how dangerous that can be.

The Elders are not to be underestimated, we shall ensure that we establish ourselves within the city before we strike. Enter in secret from the west; there you will meet Mr O'Reilly, one of us. Tell him you have travelled from Thorns and that you have come to serve the Sword. This place is the only safe haven in the city, do not lead others to it or you will be gone before the sun rises. We must prepare ourselves for the nights ahead. We must succeed: we cannot and will not fail. If you find stealth distasteful, think only of it as a necessity. A blade must first be drawn from its scabbard before it can be plunged into the heart of your enemy. There is time enough for slaughter, but first a night of calm before our storm begins.

I await you, travel well
Bishop Romanus,
Clan Lasombra
