As a Praxis, Stoke–on–Trent and Newcastle–under–Lyme occupy an unenviable position, being located at the meeting points of the Cheshire Plains and the Pennine Protectorate, both Garou controlled areas. Further problems with the Garou are created to the south of the Praxis, with the lands to the north of Stone proving fertile grounds for them.
Elsewhere, to the north of the city lies the Regency of Julian Scott–Brown of the Ventrue. These lands were claimed under the reign of Alicia Deveraux and barring a brief period in 2004, have been held ever since. An uneasy peace with the Garou exists in this part of the city and few Kindred enter for fear of the repercussions.
Two other smaller Regencies border the city, Leek and Keele. Leek was last held by the Pendragon, Viveca Lawrence, whilst the Regent of Keele is known only to a select few. Both are sought after areas, controlling the financial and educational interests of the area respectively.
Outside of the city lie the Regencies of Cheadle and Stone. Both are held by old, powerful Kindred who rarely venture into the Court. The Regency of Cheadle is one of the oldest in the country. To the south of the city lies the Praxis of Stafford held by Frank “The Butcher” of the Nosferatu and the other southern Praxis.
