The history of the supernatural presence and its effect upon the city is long and varied. Many have tried to establish a full and exhaustive history of events only to find that the task is beyond their abilities.
Fortunately a number of documents have been made available to us to allow for a brief taste of the city's past.
Cloth.
A slim volume of unknown authorship, Cloth may in fact be a biography of James Helmudson, although understandably he has not commented upon this matter. What cannot be disputed is its accuracy of its interpretation of events with the city over the last years.
The Geheime Elche Fragments.
Recently discovered by an undisclosed Kindred Historian, the Geheime Elche Fragments document the recent history of the Kindred of the city as observed by a mysterious individual presumably of Elder blood. One school of thought is that the name may be a pseudonym for another, more public Kindred, although this has yet to be substantiated. The Fragments consist of eight handwritten pieces of parchment each on a different subject. In each case the parchment has been dated at over five hundred years old, even though the subjects are much more recent.
