Camarilla Symbol Camarilla Game ~ Vernon.

Businessman. Futurist. Techno-freek?

Vernon, Q to his friends.

Unmoved, cold, and to temptation slow; – Sonnet 94

Where does he get those wonderful toys?

The answer in Vernon's case is that he makes them himself. The MacGyver of the Court there appear to be no limits to what Vernon can produce given enough time and money. His understanding of technology and the sciences is unparalleled within the Court and his business savvy has made him one of the richest Kindred as well. Given these facts it should come as no surprise that he is a member of the Ventrue.

However, scratch a little deeper and the true Vernon becomes clear. Whilst many with his skills are content to use them purely for their own benefit, Vernon views technology as a means of furthering civilisation, as a means of creating a better society. Personal wealth and power appear to be a secondary concern; the pursuit of knowledge for good is all.

This is not to say that Vernon does not get involved in Kindred politics. Vernon has established himself as a firm presence within the Court over a number of years and is always listened to should he solicit advice. Additionally he has forged links with the other Clans in an effort to avoid hostilities and is rumoured to have established diplomatic links with other groups as well. Within the Ventrue, Vernon appears to hold some kind of official rank and is said to be Acknowledged in every Court in the north of England and some in Wales as well.

Vernon's skills were instrumental in the final attacks upon Andrew Sant during the events of December 2003. He personally attacked Castelan's Headquarters to destroy the information held within their computers. Failure to destroy this information would have led to the authorities gaining firm evidence of the existence of the supernatural, with fatal consequences for all. Since this time Vernon has increasingly kept a close eye on any Technocratic involvement in the City for fear of a reprisal of past events. Recently it is rumoured that he may have been the major backer for the purchase of the hard drive that was later stolen by “The Operative”. What effect this has had upon his personal fortune is unknown, but politically it has gained him a lot of credit in the Court.

What the Court Says:

A noble gentleman with a strong business acumen and a great deal of influence, he is a useful ally and a dangerous enemy.

A gentleman and a pleasure to work with paired with a great understanding of give and take.

He's given much to the city in the last six months, I wonder if anyone has noticed?

Though he is Ventrue you may be surprised at the price for his aid.

Now this Ventrue has an interesting collection of toys.

A true innovator, sees technology as more than a tool.

01001101.

If you need an upgrade then go and see Vernon.

He is the Batman of the Court.

Genius, pure and simple.

Useful.

Precise, urbane, reclusive.
