AAs with Fletcher, any discussion of Salazar will usually focus on his relationship with his fellow Gangrel. However, whilst the two present the appearance of being inseparable, they do have very different agendas. Whilst both have a healthy respect for the sanctity of life, Salazar is much more of the political animal than his compatriot. Few things appear to mean more to Salazar than his Clan, and he will defend its members and secrets with ferocious intent. Indeed, he is said to be centrally instrumental in maintaining the unofficial ban on the teaching of the Protean arts to those not of the Clan, a fact given further credibility by his recent involvement in the abduction of Kyai Rose following allegations that she may have broken this ban.
Many thought that Salazar had appeared to have mellowed of late, the sharp tongue and troublemaking attitude replaced by a calmer, more reflective side. One more than one occasion he proved to be the voice of reason within the Court, suggesting a more tactful, thoughtful approach. However, following a brief stint as the Court's Sheriff and a very public disagreement with the Prince and other members of the Court he has returned to the political firebrand of old, turning his back on the Camarilla and embracing the Anarch Movement, a cause that he states is much closer to his heart.
