An apparently well read Tremere, Hans Dietrich (or Herr Doctor) has only recently relocated to the Court having apparently just completed some studies in Vienna. Evidently of German extraction, Hans is fastidious in his approach to everything he deals with common to the stereotype of that nation. He has also displayed a knowledge in some of the more unusual Tremere arts, although the full extent of his abilities is as yet unknown.
The most mysterious aspect of the good doctor remains his past, of which he speaks little. Indeed, a number of ugly rumours have begun to circulate about the exact nature of his past, although no confirmation of these has yet been forthcoming. Whether this will prevent his rise within Kindred society remains to be seen, but when a mans past is a talking point from the very beginning it cannot be good.
Despite his relative newness to the Court, Dr. Dietrich has been seen on some occasions speaking easily with much more established Kindred and some wonder if his familiarity with advanced scientific research may have lead him down dark paths before he reached Stoke.
