Toreador are a rare sight in the Court of Stoke–on–Trent. Whether it is the shadow cast by Alicia Deveraux, or that they find the idea of living under a Nosferatu Prince repulsive is unknown but few choose to make the city of Stoke-on-Trent their home.
Burgundy arrived in the Court towards the end of 2005, although her presence made little impact until the events of February 2006. Charged by the then Seneschal Michael Redhill to recover an hard disk believed to contain incriminating evidence from an auction, concerns were raised when she doubled the Court's bid in a minute in order to try to scare off the other bidders; it worked, but many wonder how much it could have been purchased for and whether she would have had such a cavalier attitude if it had been her money.
Shortly afterwards, she tried to declare herself the Primogen of the Toreador in the city, a move that Dimitri refused to ratify, and then criticised the actions of the Malkavian Primogen, Toymaker, a move which lost her many of her remaining supporters. Since this time her movements have been closely watched by the officers of the Court, many of whom see this sort of behaviour as the beginnings of a slippery slope. Despite all this, Burgundy may still rise to political prominence, especially if she can beat Charles Cross to the position of de facto spokesperson for their Clan in the city.
