AG8 Suppress was already widely known before it became involved in the city. A small scale anti-capitalist movement, it gained notoriety for its willingness to use violence to reach its goals. When a local bomb blast was falsely blamed on them, they retaliated by bombing a number of industrial concerns across the city. Under the charismatic leadership of Steven Thomas, they wreaked havoc for a number of months until they were captured by Castelan.
However, the story doesn't end there. During their transportation to a secure holding facility the transport convoy came under attack. Rather than risk their escape, Castelan officers executed Steven Thomas and his allies - an event that reputedly caught on film by Susan Willis. Although the existence of the footage was proven, the possibility was enough to provoke Andrew Sant to issue the order to eliminate all of the journalists of the paper that had supposedly got it.
G8 Suppress still exists today, albeit in a different form. Gone is the adherence to violence; with the group taking a more active political stand now. However, some still note with irony that a small, anti-capitalism group played its part in bringing down one of the largest companies the city has ever seen.
