Although they were short lived, the Daughters of the Desert managed to have a significant impact on the nature of the city's underworld. Taking an aggressive stance from day one, the Daughters carved out a niche market in drugs through fear, coldly eliminating all of their rivals (including the authorities) under the watchful eye of The Electric Lady.
The Daughters were also responsible for one of the biggest threats that the city had ever faced - the drug Milk. Still little is known about this powerful psychotropic drug, but it was believed to be responsible for nearly a hundred deaths and still many find themselves addicted to it, placing further strain on the health service. The Daughters were the sole supplier of Milk in the city, only they knew it recipe and all attempts to replicate it were quickly quashed. For a while it looked as if the Daughters would become the largest criminal enterprise in the city but this was not to be.
Whatever their supposed business acumen, in the end the Daughters backed the wrong horse; the mysterious death of The Electric Lady robbed them of much of their power, an opportunity that was quickly acted upon by the other gangs in the city until they were but a shadow of their former selves.
The Daughters are now all but gone, occasional rumours will surface of their possible involvement in the latest gangland atrocity, but these are quickly forgotten. Whatever strength the Daughter of the Desert once possessed departed with the loss of their founder.
