Following the death of twelve of the original Asharaka, the Singapore Kindred decided to take a tougher stand. Chief amongst these was Yoshio Inaba, otherwise known as The Gangmaster.
A former Colonel in the Singapore army (circa. 17th Century), Yoshio Inaba was recruited by The Prophet shortly after his return from the grave to form a standing army to defend them following a series of attacks by the Chinese. A cunning warrior, Yoshio recruited smaller, guerrilla groups from the surrounding area rather than a more formal army. Their knowledge of the area allowed them to ambush the Chinese and deplete their numbers over time. By the time they two armies met, the Chinese had been depleted to one third of their original size. The Asharaka retained control.
Yoshio has continued in his role as Lord General for the Asharaka until the present day. As the nature of warfare changed, so did his tactics. In the 1950's he spearheaded the move into organised crime, noting that the majority of battles would be fought on the streets following the end of World War II. As the Asharaka gained dominance in Xinjiapo, Yoshio (who had by this stage taken the name of The Gangmaster) dominated the criminal underworld.
Following the re~-emergence of the PromEpim Virus, The Gangmaster oversaw the formation of an Asharaka controlled gang within the city. Whilst initially they fought against the Daughters of the Desert, the defection of The Gangmaster to Shara led to their eventual alliance. It is likely that following the death of Shara that he has sought to retain control of The Daughters.
The true abilities of The Gangmaster are not yet known to the Court, but given the formidable abilities of both The Prophet and The Wind it would be a foolish Kindred who attempted to take The Gangmaster on single handed.
