No one ever really knew who The Endon Butcher was. All that is known that is that during 2004 over sixty people were killed by an unknown individual in the Endon area. Despite a large scale investigation in to the murders, neither Castelan nor specialists from the Government were unable to make any arrests. The modus operandi remained the same for each murder; the killer would enter the property (although no signs of entry could be found) and proceed to murder every member of the family with a blunt instrument.
And then as suddenly as the murders began they came to an end. Many suspect that “The Butcher” may have been killed by Castelan in the attempted coup of December 2004. But by then the damage had already been done, another community had been destroyed by paranoia and mistrust.
