The Black Horseman poses such a threat.
Little is known about The Black Horseman at the moment, and everything that is known is pure conjecture. What is known without a doubt is that somewhere, far off in the steppes of Russia an incredibly ancient Kindred has stirred from its long torpor and now wreaks havoc on the world.
No one has yet encountered The Black Horseman, or at least no one has done so and lived. Sketchy details have emerged of a huge armoured Nosferatu, but Tremere Scholars have now stipulated that this may merely be an avatar of his coming. If this true then the capabilities that even a fraction of his powers have shown are terrifying beyond belief. Some now fear that all hope may be lost.
Hope remains however. The Black Horseman is not the first childe of Baba Yaga to rise. Her other sons, The White and Red Horseman respectively have both risen in the past and been defeated, but not without a heavy price; the rise of The Red Horseman came five years before the outbreak of World War II, and some Kindred scholars now speculate that the psychic energy of his waking may have been instrumental in that conflict.
For now The Black Horseman only stirs, his followers, The Todeskult sowing chaos and anxiety across the world in an effort to hasten his rise. As his followers spread, so his powers grow. The question now is not if he will rise, but when?
