Seiji Miyaguchi holds an unusual position within the Asharaka, as the role of The Translator gives her the ability to influence every decision they make for she is responsible for translating the visions of The Prophet. In a ritual believed to have been derived from Buddhism, The Prophet enters a trancelike state that allows him to perceive the future, which he relays to the assembled through The Translator. Through this ritual, the Asharaka are able to determine their future.
Seiji Miyaguchi was the only women amongst the Asharaka. It is believed that it was she, along with Isao Kinura who masterminded the split within the Asharaka, falsifying her response to The Prophets visions in order to manipulate the Asharaka to her own ends. It is also believed that she may have been behind the initial discussions with Shara.
Unlike both The Corruptor and The Gangmaster, little has been seen of The Translator since the events of February 2005, although it is believed she is still in the city.
