Camarilla Symbol Camarilla Game ~ Nicholas Raymond.

Fanatic. Preacher. Saviour?

Nicholas Raymond, the lost preacher.

Although Nicholas Raymond only spent a short period of his life in the city his affect upon the Court was far reaching. Appearing in the city in early 2001, he made a name for himself for the rousing speeches he made to a number of congregations against “The hidden evils of society”. He was soon identified as a former Presbyterian Minister who was no longer affiliated with that Church.

Over the following months his true motivations began to emerge, Nicholas Raymond was in fact searching for a member of the Court (although this individual has never been identified) for an unspecified crime. Whilst publicly he continued to preach to congregations, privately he began to amass a private army. One fateful night he led this army in a frontal attack against the Elysium. Although the outcome of the attack was inevitable it was not without a price. Four members of the Court perished that night, most notably the Sheriff who defended the premises whilst the rest of the Court was led to safety. Nicholas Raymond died under a hail of gunfire from Dimitri's private security force and the incident was quickly hushed up.

However, this was not the end of Nicholas Raymond's involvement with the Court. Freed from the constraints of a mortal body he returned once again to haunt the Court from the spiritual realm. Once again the Court was required to defeat him, this time performing a ritual based upon the Seven Deadly Sins. On completion Nicholas Raymond was seen to be dragged into the void, leaving several questions unanswered.

Who was he after?

How did he manage to amass so much power in such a short time?

These questions still remain.

Recent events have indicated that Nicholas Raymond may have managed to return from the void in a more powerful and terrible form to wreak havoc with the Court. Whether this is the true Nicholas Raymond remains to be seen, but his disappearance (once again) since the Court managed to close one of the Todeskult's portals possibly links his re-emergence with the rise of The Black Horseman.

What the Court Says:

A preacher who appeared in Stoke in November 2000. A rousing speaker, he appeared to be searching for someone, but it was never revealed who he was looking for. He was killed in 2001 / 2002 and whether he completed his mission is unknown. A charismatic gentleman who caused a great deal of confusion and upset.

Why is it that the psychotically deranged can't find it into themselves to remain dead.

Proof that those that hunt “monsters” inevitably become far greater monsters.

Look not too long into the abyss...
